Trust & Safety

Last updated: July 7, 2026

Vidiyo is an ad-supported TV platform built on creator content. That only works if viewers can trust what is on screen. This page describes how content gets reviewed before it airs, how to report something, and what happens when rules are broken.

Review before broadcast

Every upload is screened by automated analysis before it can air, and anything the automation is not confident about goes to a human reviewer. High-risk material is blocked from broadcast until a person has looked at it. Live user-generated broadcasts follow the same standards.

What is not allowed

  • Sexual content involving minors, in any form. Zero tolerance.
  • Graphic violence, incitement, or credible threats.
  • Hate speech targeting protected groups.
  • Self-harm promotion.
  • Content that infringes copyright (see DMCA).
  • Mislabeled mature content. Every upload receives a platform rating (G through TV-MA) from automated visual, audio, and transcript analysis. TV-MA programming is labeled and can be filtered with parental controls.
  • Adult content outside the verified adult section. Adult channels never appear in the main guide, search, or the TV and mobile apps. They are available only on the web to adults who complete age verification, and every video on them is approved by a human reviewer before it airs.

Reporting

Every channel and video carries a Report action in the apps and on the web player. Reports go to human review. Our response-time commitments:

  • Standard reports: reviewed within 6 hours.
  • Urgent reports (child safety, credible threats): escalated to an on-call moderator within 15 minutes.
  • Copyright takedown notices: acknowledged within 24 hours, actioned within 72.

Enforcement

Violations earn channel strikes. Strikes limit automatic approval of future uploads; repeated or severe violations end in channel suspension and account termination. Repeat copyright infringers are terminated per our DMCA policy.

Advertising standards

Ads are clearly labeled and go through the same review pipeline as content. We do not accept ads that would violate the content rules above.

Appeals

Creators can appeal any moderation decision from the studio dashboard; appeals are reviewed by a different person than the original decision-maker.
