Vidiyo uses one first-party cookie and a small amount of browser storage (localStorage) to run the Service. We do not set third-party advertising or tracking cookies. This page lists everything we store in your browser and how to control it.

Strictly necessary

These keep you signed in and remember your consent choice. They cannot be disabled.

• vidiyo_session — cookie holding your sign-in session. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Expires when your session ends or you sign out.
• vdy.cookie_consent — localStorage entry recording your choice on the cookie banner. Kept until you clear site data.

Functional preferences

These localStorage entries remember playback and interface preferences on this device. They are not sent to our servers and are not used for tracking.

• vidiyo:sound-on — whether you unmuted the player.
• vidiyo:guide:last-watched — the last channel you watched, so the guide can resume there.
• vdy:chat-hidden — whether you hid the live chat panel.
• vdy-launch-checklist-v1 — your progress in the channel launch checklist tool.

Analytics

We measure plays, ad impressions, and errors with server-side events tied to the playback session, not with analytics cookies. No third-party analytics scripts run in your browser.

Advertising

Ads on Vidiyo are stitched into the video server-side with server-side frequency capping. We do not place third-party ad-tracking cookies, pixels, or identifiers in your browser, and we do not participate in cross-site behavioural advertising.

How to control this

Use the cookie banner to record your preference, or clear site data in your browser at any time. Clearing site data signs you out and resets your saved preferences. Because we set no optional tracking cookies, blocking third-party cookies in your browser does not affect the Service. If we ever add a category of storage that is not strictly necessary or functional, we will update this page and ask for consent first.
